Moths and Meadows Sample Collection
Moths and Meadows is a sustainable contemporary fabric sample collection for the home, designed to highlight the issue of biodiversity loss by focusing on the complexity of the lush growth of an uncut meadow, and by concentrating on the delicate regal beauty of papery winged moths. The designs are non-polluting and have low impact on the environment. Carefully considered yarns, local where possible, were selected for their tactility and their compatibility, blended together to create unique luxurious fabrics for upholstery and throw blankets. Exploration into the use of under-rated Irish fleece has resulted in beautiful textured hand-spun yarns that have been included through the collection. Muted subtle tones of colour were enhanced by natural dyeing with logwood.
