This handwoven, hand stitched, organic cushion with a ruffled fringe detail would add a cosy feel to any living space or bedroom.  
The soft tones are created by combining the white wool from our Heritage Galway sheep with hand spun Irish yarn and Kilcarra Tweed from Donegal Yarns.  Woven together they evoke the delicate regal beauty of papery winged moths.
 
Moths are a very important pollinator species in our landscape. They are nocturnal, the “night shift” pollinators, and due to the make-up of their furry bodies, like bees they contribute strongly to the spread of pollen. They are also intriguing because of their symbolism in Celtic mythology and their biblical reference to death and decay. They are known as spiritual messengers, representing transformation or stages of change.
 
Colour:  Grey, White, Black and Blue with flecks of colour added while spinning the Kilcarra Tweed wool.
 
Size:  75 cm x 25 cm Cushion 100% Wool including a crochet button closure.  Insert is made from Irish Linen and filled with raw Galway fleece, 100% sustainable.
